A good afternoon

Despite weirdness on other fronts, all is far from gloom and doom. This afternoon I got to pick up one of my favorite people, the WallRat, at the airport after his sojourn abroad and plunk him back at his domicile only to be invited out to an awe-inspiring good Italian dinner down on Alki.

Good company, good conversation, and good food - no matter how unreasonably biological things may be turning on other fronts, these are sure to cheer.

He's one reason I'm conflicted about staying in the Big Soggy - he's a bit committed here, for one reason and another, and it's not that often you find a friend that good...so moving away is not, from that viewpoint, an especially pleasing notion.
