We hear a lot from the whole "guns are icky" crowd in the media, in the upper reaches of many large (and eastern, mostly) police departments, and from the deeply misguided anti-human-rights sorts over at the VPC and the Brady Crowd.
It's a little more unusual to see a New York rag doing a mostly favorable story (if you cut through the patronizing terminology) on the increased involvement of women with the firearms community and the shooting sports.
Commence being moderately cheered.
